Our Partnerships

BRD
The bank (BRD) launched Kinazi Cassava Plant in April 2012 to boost cassava production through the transformation of cassava roots into flour in Kinazi sector, Ruhango District, Southern Province. The bank has invested a start up capital worth RWf 5 Billion and investment is still ongoing as the project will be expanded to include the production of starch.

MINAGRI
We currently work hand in hand with MINAGRI to streamline a channel through which value of cassava crop and cassava flour can be increased for the benefit of the farmer through farmer cooperatives and the country as a whole, through the following agencies.

RAB
Kinazi Cassava Plant works hand in hand with Rwanda Agriculture Board to provide advice, expertise and skills to the farmers on the good cassava farming practices. Additionally, RAB continuously researches on the best seeds, soil conditions, pesticide and fertilizers best for the smooth growth of cassava which in turn benefits the farmers in generating larger income using the same farm land and later the factory as whole.

NAEB
We have intensified our efforts in marketing our quality product by working with the National Agricultural Export Development Board in increasing our export potential. This partnership and support will help the farmer, also the primary beneficiary, in benefiting from sales of the product whose raw material they worked tireless to cultivate.

MINICOM
Currently, the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MINICOM) through RCA and Federation of Farmers cooperatives organizes and helps in capacity building of the farmer cooperatives and sensitization of the farmer to understand the value of Kinazi Cassava Plant to them in a bid to have the farmers recognize the factory as their own.

RCA
RCA has channeled and helped organize the cooperatives as well as work with the in daily structural issues. This in turn helps to instill our values in farmer cooperatives to view our company as their own. That is to say, the farmers’ cooperatives will own shares in the factory, and will not only benefit from selling their produce to the factory, but also benefit from the sales of the final milling product. This therefore, will help the farmer cooperatives in working very hard on their farms lands, to produce cassava of high quality and supply to their own factory to later be rewarded for their efforts by sharing the excellence rewards with the factory.

Farmer cooperatives
Kinazi Cassava plant is currently working around the clock alongside, RCA, MINICOM, RAB and other stakeholders to come up with a comprehensive plan on how cassava farmer cooperatives can own shares in the company as way of making them benefit and have a say in the company decisions as well as gain dividends from the company sales.

MINALOC
In order to mobilize and sensitize the local cassava growers, there is need to have them organized at grassroots levels. This is  achieved by working with local authorities in various regions where cassava is grown on a large scale through MINALOC. Local authorities do not only organize the growers and cooperatives, but also help provide a platform for communication between Kinazi cassava plant and cassava growers.

NGOs
We believe in growth of the cassava growers. We go an extra mile to work with nongovernmental organizations to provide the growers with inputs in form of trainings and quality fertilizers as well as other form of help at our disposal that we can provide. The NGOs we work with include mainly, COIKA and Farm Concern International.

Institutions
Kinazi cassava plant is also an area of interest to many institutions bringing a range of opportunities in research. This mutual partnership  helps in providing/sharing of experiences, skills and competences in research. We are currently partnering with College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (former ISAE) for research, and Workforce Development Authority (WDA) in developing skills and competencies for the youth.
